Dear Colleague:
The extent to which Congress will have funds available to reject the President's budget and adequately fund TRIO will depend to a large extent on whether Senator Kennedy's amendment to the budget resolution (which was agreed upon by the full Senate) is incorporated into the conference report on the budget resolution. (The conference report is the final agreement which reconciles the differences between the House Budget resolution and the Senate Budget resolution.)
To get the word out on the importance of including these numbers, Senator Kennedy prepared a short video (which is posted on the Council website www.coenet.us <http://www.coenet.us/> ).
Please make sure that as many TRIO students and parents (and other students on your campus) see the video and take the actions recommended in it.
