Subject: TS and EOC competitions' closing dates--after October 1, 2005
Speaking with Larry Oxendine late last week, the TS and EOC competitions will be held no earlier than October 2005.
The Department's free Technical Assistance Workshops will be held in 10 sites in mid-July and August. Dates will be posted on the Dept Ed's TRIO web site as soon as they are available. www.ed.gov/ope/trio
Page limit for EOC will be 50 pages; 75 pages for TS.
Selection Criteria for the 100 points will remain the same as published in the program regulations--also available on www.ed.gov/ope/trio
Most likely, TS programs will be urged to limit the number of target schools to reduce travel funds and increase the quality of services but a mandate to limit to a specific number will not be imposed.
Objectives for both programs may be limited to those that relate directly to Prior Experience.
The Council's last Proposal Writing Workshop for Institutional Members will be July 18-19th in Los Angeles--registration only available on line at www.coenet.us
Good luck to all!
