Governmental Relations Committee
ASPIRE Members,
I am writing once again to ask you to continue to contact your House Members to sign on the Cole/Payne letter. Currently there are 173 Members who have signed the letter. In the last six years, 26% of new applicants for TRIO Programs received grants. The current system is working! TRIO money is being spent on the students. The Novice Provision would cause massive disruption of services to TRIO students. These services are critical in the retention and graduation of TRIO students. If you have House Members who have not signed the Cole/Payne letter, please contact your House Members as soon as possible!
Cheryl Kingsbury
